Nick Cave Crowing about his latest film project
| 28 July 2010
Nick Cave is putting his spin on a remake of The Crow.
The 1994 cult movie is getting a revamp, with help from the musician.
Nick Cave has a fairly impresive resume when it comes to the movie business, on top of his music career.
He worked on the music for "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford," penned the screenplay for the 2005 indie hit "The Proposition" and contributed to the tribute film "Leonard Cohen: I'm Your Man."
Now he's on board with a remake of The Crow - the 1994 film, which famously saw actor Brandon Lee dying tragically on set.
The new version will be directed by Blade director Stephen Norrington, and Nick Cave has been given the task of polishing the screenplay.
In the past Cave has also worked on a sequel to Gladiator, at the request of Russell Crowe, but the film never saw the light of day.
He has also completed the script for a new film, The Death of a Ladies Man, named after the Leonard Cohen song.
