Win Butler praises Bono
| 30 July 2010
Win Butler says Bono was right to engage with George W Bush over Aids relief in Africa.
The Arcade Fire front man, whose band are getting behind the Haiti Kanpe charity, said although Bono is often criticised for his humanitarian work, he reckons he had a positive effect.
Bono called Bush 'bold' in 2003 for increasing the US' Emergency Plan for Aids Relief budget in Africa and the Caribbean.
And Butler agrees with him, saying it was much more than any other government had done.
Elsewhere, Arcade Fire release their new album 'Suburbs' today.
