If you are new to podcasting, then read on!

What is podcasting?
Podcasting is a way to 'subscribe' to Phantom 105.2's radio programmes and have them delivered to your personal computer. You can then transfer them to your portable digital music player. To do this, you subscribe to the podcast by downloading a small piece of software that manages all of your podcast subscriptions.

When connected to the Internet, the software searches for the latest edition of the program on our website, and will download it to a folder on your computer, ready for when you next plug in your digital music player. This means that you don't have to manually search and download for new programs to download on this website. It happens automatically and it's FREE!

Phantom 105.2 also allows you to download podcasts directly onto your computer as MP3 files.  Or you can also listen on-demand to any of our podcasts directly via our web site.  If you would prefer to this then go straight to our Podcast Library and select your podcast!

Download your preferred podcasting software such as iTunes 4.9 (or later) , iPodder or alternate podcasting software. Most applications operate on Mac, PC or Linux. Click here to find alternative podcatching applications.  All are free.

Once you have set up and acquainted yourself with the podcasting software, then copy and paste the following subscribtion URL's into your podcasting program.

If you want to receive these programs regularly, make sure the scheduling function on your podcasting software is set to search for new podcasts automatically

How do I do this in iTunes?

If you are using or plan to use iTunes as your podcatching software, here's what you need to do:

1. Open iTunes
2. Click on the 'Advance' tab on the menu bar and then 'Open Stream'
3. Select the URL of your chosen podcast (see above) type or paste this URL into the dialogue box that appears and then press 'OK'.

You are now subscribed to your Phantom 105.2 podcast!

To listen to your podcasts just select 'podcasts' on the left hand menu pane and then select the episode you want to listen to.
